Looking down the drive leading to the Neptune fountain at Versailles
The Orangerie at Versailles. The trees down there are orange and other citrus trees. It was the only place they would grow in northern France, because the king would have all the trees wheeled to an inside greenhouse if the weather was cold.

The Hercules Drawing Room in the Versailles palace. On the wall is a Veronese painting of Christ at a Venetian party. King Louis XIV liked this painting so much, he had the room decorated to match the painting, so that it looks like the painting is an extension of the room.
View through one of the windows at Versailles. See how the cars and signs look wavy? This is due to the distortion in the old glass
We got a picture of this to show how funny exit signs in both Britain and France are - they show a person running for cover.
This is another room in the palace at Versailles. I think it is the Cornucopia room; I am not sure which Louis is in the picture.
The Hall of Mirrors at Versailles

Detail of painting on the ceiling of the Peace Room at Versailles. Mike thought the cerub riding the cannon was funny.
