Edinburgh Day 1
This is what the inside of the standard class British rail cars looks like. Kind of like a cross between Metrolink, Amtrak and airplane interiors. |

Croce - aren't you glad you're not in the Scottish military. This would be a lot more difficult than a funeral. |

The Witchery Tour - our guide has put thumb screws on a woman in the crowd to see if she is a witch. She eventually admitted she was :-) |
There's a cannonball in the wall. A cannon at Edinburgh Castle missed. |
Looking back at Edinburgh Castle |
The Witchery Tour - the ghost of a "witch" was tossing water on us just like they used to throw the sewage out the windows, shouting "Guadez l'eau" (watch out for the water), pronounced badly by the English as Guard-ay-loo - the origin of the word "loo", as in going to the loo. |
A drunk rugby fan runs through the tour, shouting as he goes |
A ghostly figure of our tour guide |
Our guide holding his "rat" that caused so much plague in Edinburgh that is wiped out half the population. Our guide says that rats came to England from the Far East on tea ships, and the evidence for this can be found on the bottom of his rat, which says "Made in China" <groan> |
Christine and the dancing skeleton |
The conclusion of our tour, with our guide and the mad monk. |
